Many moons ago I met a little girl somewhere in the suburbs of Northern New Jersey. She was a sweet child, a wise little soul, observant and insightful well beyond her years.

Decades later we would meet again. She had gone to school to become a nurse and now had a family of her own.

She joined me for a cross-interview to discuss the medical system, childhood education, and the presidential election… with her husband and children joining in.

In 2019, she left her job as a practicing nurse after almost a decade. She had begun to realize that some of what she had been taught wasn't helping her patients but moreso helping to line the pockets of the pharmaceutical companies.

It was years earlier, after her first child was born, that she had begun to question things.
