Leo and the Last Snow Before Spring
The Full Moon in the bright and warm sign of Leo during the dead of winter.
Feb 12th, 2025.
Dear Diary,
Today there is a full moon in Leo and they call it the Snow Moon. The fiery and exuberant sign of Leo in the dead of winter. Fire and Ice. In Robert Frost's poem he uses these as metaphors for the end of the world. Desire and destruction. I just see it as a simple ending - the last full moon of the season, the snow is turning into spring.
And it made me think of other things.
I found my friend from LaGuardia High School of Music and Art. She was my best friend, my first friend after a harsh freshman year. A chapter was ending and she was helping to usher me into a new one.
And she doesn't know this but every time I went through a major ending throughout the years of my life, she would somehow magically reappear right then and there.
We met again in the snow. But this time the present and the future were met with a different energy, with a surprise, a child so full of enthusiasm and joy. Now a chapter was ending and, just like her mother, this adorable little girl was helping to usher me into a new one. She introduced me to new songs and so we invented our own acrobatic dance - a sort of circus act - to go with one of her favorite songs called 'Dance Monkey' by Tones & I.
To the bright and lively sign of Leo in the dead of winter.
Happy Valentines Day too.

Beautiful, Käla. To be a Leo, basking in the sunshine … what a true privilege.
You appreciate and live out your beautifully uniquely creative tribe, Cato the Leo. Bravo!!
