Love and Politics
Everyone wants to feel love and be loved, to experience real love, no matter what political team you stand behind.
I've always had a hard time with the divisiveness of politics - the anger and lack of compassion that came along with it for the other point of view. But no matter which political team you stand behind, no matter the differences in lifestyle, opinions, religions, there is one thing that everyone wants. Everyone wants to feel love and be loved. Everyone in the world wants to experience real love.
So it won’t matter who wins an election, or any other competition, any other fight. It won’t matter if there is someone in a leadership position who is spewing lies or radical ideas. It wouldn't even matter if there was the most perfectly optimistic leader governing the free world. The only truth is holding love in our own hearts. Love wins over every adversity.
Love is unconditional, nonjudgmental - a frequency that elevates and expands and uplifts the world into unity and compassion, just by its very existence.
If we can't feel it, it's only because the rollercoaster of emotions is too loud, it's too intense and all-encompassing. But that's just about being stuck on the ride. Our life is an amusement park filled with giant rollercoasters, but when we are brave enough to step off the rollercoaster and maybe walk down into the haunted house, dive into the ocean of our souls, walk through the dark cave - even if it may be scary or lonely at times - on the other side of it is pure love. If you knew that the other side of that darkness was heaven on earth, would you do it?
"The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart." - Carl Jung
