Before I worked in Documentary Film, I worked at HBO. In 2009 I joined their Creative Services Department where I worked with many interesting and colorful characters. On such character was Stu Levine. He had already been at HBO for over 25 years when I arrived. He saw the network evolve both in technology and on an artistic level as it blazed through the cutting edge. Here is the cross-interview with me and Stu where we discuss the culture and programming at HBO in the 1980s and the early 2000s, the emergence of Apple computers, the gentrification of Time Square New York, Game of Thrones, and the world today through the lens of the pandemic, face masks, my documentary based on the book by Bobby Kennedy Jr., the World Economic Forum, and the lyrics of John Lennon's "Imagine"...
